Connecting your Facebook & Instagram
This is a one-time setup so Mila can post to both your Facebook Page and your Instagram. It takes about 10 minutes, and most of it happens inside Facebook and Instagram. Once it’s done, Mila handles everything.
Before you start, have these ready:
- A Facebook Pagefor your practice — not your personal profile.
- An Instagram professional (Business) account — personal accounts can’t be connected.
- Admin access to the Facebook Page (the most common reason setup fails).
Part 1 — Make your Instagram a Business account
Part 2 — Link your Instagram to your Facebook Page
On a computer, go to your practice’s Facebook Page → Settings → Linked accounts (shown as Instagram on some Pages) → Connect account, and sign in with your Instagram professional account. If Facebook asks you to confirm that Page managers can also manage your Instagram, complete that confirmation. Then reopen Linked accounts and make sure Instagram shows Connectedwith no “Review connection” warning.
Part 3 — Connect everything to Mila
- Select your practice’s Pagewhen Facebook asks which Pages to use — if it isn’t checked, Mila can’t post to it.
- Leave every permission turned on. Turning any off can quietly break scheduling to Facebook or Instagram later.
Mila automatically detects the Instagram account attached to your Page — there’s no separate Instagram login.
Pre-flight checklist
- A Facebook Page for your practice (not a personal profile)
- Instagram set to Business (or Creator)
- Instagram linked to your Facebook Page (shows Connected)
- You’re an admin of the Facebook Page
- In the popup, you selected your Page and left all permissions on

Troubleshooting
The app shows an offline screen.
The Mila app needs an internet connection. Check your connection and reopen the app — it reconnects automatically.
A scheduled post didn’t publish.
Check the post’s status on your Posts page and your connection status in Settings → Integrations. If both look fine, email us with the post date and we’ll investigate.
My Facebook or Instagram connection stopped working.
Social platforms occasionally expire connections. Check Settings → Integrations; if a reconnect doesn’t resolve it, email us — we’ll fix it quickly.
My engagement numbers look out of date.
Likes, comments, and reach sync on a regular schedule and can lag a little behind Instagram and Facebook. They only appear once a post is published — a brand-new post shows a “data coming” placeholder rather than a zero.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your Mila account and all associated data yourself, at any time. Open the Mila app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account, type DELETEto confirm, and your account is deleted immediately; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. This permanently removes your profile, your connected Facebook and Instagram authorization, all content Mila created for you, your uploaded photos and media, and your analytics history. Any active subscription is cancelled immediately (billing records are retained by our payment processor as required for accounting). If you own a practice with other team members, deleting your account removes the practice for everyone — the app will warn you before you confirm. If you have questions, email hello@aestheticaimarketing.com.
